The Texas Legislature has passed a law changing EXPUNCTIONS in Texas. Now You can expunge dismissed criminal misdemeanor charges immediately after dismissal. The Texas Supreme Court had limited expunctions requiring up to two years before a misdemeanor could be expunged, but by June 20, 2009 the time limit is abolished. GOOD NEWS for fairness!!!
Well, Governor Perry VETOED this great bill on June 19th, maybe the legislature will override the VETO!!! I hope so.
